                                                       TRAVEL

Foreign participants will need a VISA to travel to India.
This is available from the local Indian High Commission or
Consulate, and should be obtained well in advance.

Bangalore has a busy airport with several international
and domestic flights arriving daily. Note that since the
entire programme is in Bangalore, foreign participants
may fly directly to Bangalore (without passing through
    Mumbai).

Foreign participants will be picked up from the airport
in vehicles arranged by NCBS. If for some reason you
miss the pick-up, take a pre-paid taxi from the airport
to NCBS (or to the TIFR-CAM Guest House if you are
    staying there).

Local participants arriving by train should get off at
    Bangalore Cantonment station.

Local participants are requested to take autorickshaws
or taxis from the train station or airport to NCBS.

All participants are requested to share vehicles if possible,
and to keep any receipts for eventual reimbursement of
    the fare.

A map of the region around NCBS is in the `CONTACT'
section.  It also has directions to get to NCBS. It would
probably be a good idea to carry a copy of this with you.
