Abstract: After a brief introduction to moduli problems and moduli stacks, I will explain how to calculate the l-adic cohomology ring of the moduli stack of vector bundles on an algebraic curve in positive characteristic, discuss actions of the various Frobenius morphisms and how to prove an analogue of the classical Weil conjectures for the moduli stack.
