Abstract: Given a Severi-Brauer variety P over field k, a theorem of Amitsur tells that the kernel of the base change map Br(k)\to Br(k(P)) is generated by the class of [P]. Therefore if two Severi-Brauer varieties are birational then they generate the same subgroup in Br(k). Converse to this statement is the conjecture. We will discuss this in the case of Severi-Brauer varieties of index not a prime power following \texttt{arXiv:2505.24720}.
